In the 1800′s stained glass came back into fashion with the influence of Tiffany glass, bold colors used on flat areas and heavily lined. It wasn′t until the 1900′s that colored glass windows were being used again by architects worldwide.
People have perceived a difference between such impressive windows to be brought to homes of those who are affluent and those who want them to be seen at the churches or monasteries because they hold a notion that these windows reflect an aesthetic sense only at pious and religious places. Nevertheless, there are innumerable people who truly appreciate that having such mesmerizing windows really add a sense of magnificence at their homes. These windows when mounted at homes set it apart from the rest.
If you want to dramatically alter the look of a room, or the impression of a house, consider stained glass window panels. Stained glass panels come in 3 basic types- lead channel, foil, and faux. Faux window panels are usually painted glass with fake foiling, giving the impression of stained glass without the expense. These are designed to be hung inside an existing window, where they are protected from the elements.
